Resident Involvement

Black Country Housing > Regeneration > Resident Involvement

CRD aims to deliver resident involvement activities jointly with Housing, and in partnership with other core departments of the business.  Resident Involvement is the current theme for our Best Value review and as a result, the Resident Involvement Strategy (2005) is simultaneously under review. Resident involvement is vital to ensuring that our customers continue to receive high quality services. Through involving residents, we are able to shape our services and highlight service improvements.

Resident Involvement currently operates at two levels; locally and corporately. CRD and Housing implement a range of tools and techniques to ensure the delivery of resident involvement through the following methods:

  • CHAT magazine - a quarterly resident’s newsletter
  • Recruitment of resident Board members
  • Constituted resident’s groups
  • Structured social events and fun days
  • Estate clean-up days
  • Estate walkabouts
  • Resident’s Advisory Panels
  • Focus and consultation groups
  • Resident’s meetings
