At Black Country Housing Group, we are committed to actively involving our residents in the management of their homes. We encourage and enable our residents to share their views and experiences through surveys, consultations, meetings, questionnaires etc. Due to lifestyle patterns and personal commitments, we recognise that there is a need to vary the way in which residents can choose to get involved. We feel it is important to tailor our involvement methods with your needs. Residents can be involved in many ways:
We actively seek the views of our residents through a variety of methods including:
This is made up of a group of residents who meet three or four times a year to discuss and feed back on our new housing proposals. From practical input about the layout of rooms and the colour of walls, to visits to the building sites, the Panel provides an invaluable means of consulting our residents and ensuring that our new developments meet their needs and expectations. Please contact us on the details below if you would like to join or find out more information about the panel.
A Consumer Panel has been established, consisting of around 50-100 resident members. The Consumer Panel is a vehicle which allows our residents to share their views and ideas and put forward suggestions on how our services could be improved. Panel members are mainly consulted via the post or by telephone. If you wish to become a member of our Consumer Panel, or would like more information about what is involved, please contact us on the details below.
Our Resident Forum & Association meetings offer residents an opportunity to have their say about issues which affect them locally. You may wish to get involved because you are concerned about anti-social behaviour, car parking problems or simply wish to improve the environment in which you live. These meetings are open to all residents who live in the relevant estate management area and provide you with an opportunity to meet with local residents and staff and find out more about the services we provide. If you would like to get involved in your local Resident Forum/Association or would like further information, please contact the Housing Team on 0121 561 1969 or contact us on the details below.
