Building Homes
Black Country Housing > Housing > Building Homes

As a housing developer Black Country Housing Group has an established track record of successful innovation. We have pioneered new procurement methods in contracting and novel design features that enhance room layouts. Taken together, these produce high quality buildings that deliver sustainability.

Our development at Bryce Road in Dudley pioneered ‘Green Tendering’. Our new buildings with a ‘super insulated’ structure, with hybrid modular and platform frame construction and using locally recycled steel sections, are at the cutting edge of modern methods of construction.

At the contemporary development of ‘Lifestyle’ apartments, The Courtyard at Hambletts Road, West Bromwich, is a model of consultative and stakeholder partnership with the Housing Corporation; Sandwell Council and the Greets Green New Deal for Communities partnership. This approach is seeing projects develop in Dudley, Sandwell, Birmingham and Wolverhampton.

We are expanding our portfolio by building starter homes, in Blackheath, for outright sale. This will offer the private market BCH’s expertise in sustainable development for the first time.

Sustainable Refurbishment

The Group's ‘Green Showcase’ projects see older houses being refurbished and setting a good example to other home owners and buyers who want to upgrade their homes to modern but sustainable standards.

Features that help reduce environmental impact and reduce running costs, such as reducing fuel consumption, are used throughout these developments.

Our successes have been recognised by awards and commendation from:
