Who makes sure we provide excellent services?
We aim to provide excellent services and our Board of Management ensures that BCHG is run correctly. Board members have a wide range of skills and experience and reflect the communities within which we work.
Management Board Members
Peter Bilson
Peter has a wide range of experience in Local Government, the Fire Service and the voluntary and community sector. Peter is Deputy Leader of Wolverhampton City Council with Cabinet responsibilities for Regeneration and Enterprise. Peter has Chaired many multi - agency and business organisations and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the BCHG board.
Mohan Sandhar
Mohan, as well as being a BCHG Board Member, is also the Equalities and Community Engagement Officer at Birmingham City Council.
Ann Harrison
Ann has worked as a secretary in the NHS for 40 years and brings this experience to the BCHG Board. Ann is a shared owner of a BCHG property.
David Gutteridge
David is retired and is currently Deputy Chair of NHS Walsall and Chairman of Relate Walsall. David’s background is in finance.
Donald Sadler
Donald is a qualified accountant and works as a Senior Audit Manager with a Big 4 accountancy practice on internal audit, risk management and governance across the public sector including Registered Providers. He joined the Board in 2011.
Fadel Takrouri
Fadel has a formal background in science, particularly in nuclear energy, as well as in setting up and running his own businesses. Fadel has experience of providing health care to the public and has served as a school governor and parish councillor. Fadel has a good understanding of how local government and RSL’s work and is passionate about housing issues.
Jameel Malik
Jameel Malik joined Warwick District Council as Head of Housing and Property Services in March 2010. He has previously help posts with Hull City Council's Housing Service, Sandwell Council and for the Walsall Housing Group.
Jameel is a Law graduate and holds a Masters Degree in Commercial and Corporate Law from the London School of Economics. He has also achieved a MBA with Distinction from the University of Birmingham.
Janet Williams
Janet is an Environmental Health Officer by profession and has worked in various housing roles in local government, central government, the voluntary sector and housing associations, most latterly for the Audit Commission as a Housing Inspector and Senior Research Manager. She is now an associate consultant with Consult CIH and joined the Board in 2011.
Kevin Wright
Kevin has a range of experience from managing a private Engineering Company, specializing in Lifts for the Disabled. Kevin currently works for Birmingham City Council as a Housing Strategy Partnership Officer.
Nigel Foster
Nigel joined the Board in 2011 and has been a commercial chartered surveyor for over 25 years in and around the Black Country. Currently he heads property management for Bulleys based in Wolverhampton. He also runs a children’s nursery with his wife in Pershore.
Rajpal Virdee
Rajpal has been a member of the Board since 2001. He currently owns and manages a property investment business.
Roger Chapman
Roger has been a member of the Board since 1993. He is a qualified Chartered Public Service Accountant with over 30 years experience in local authority finance. Roger has extensive financial experience at all levels.
